Yes, yes we know — we deliver every Tuesday. Well, sometimes we just can’t wait. To that end, here are a few cool things to check out this weekend.
Smorgasburg. There’s no use to even attempt to be tidy at Smaorgasburg, Brooklyn Flea’s yearly street-food fest. It offers everything from from burgers and brisket to ice cream and S’mores. Make sure you bring plenty of wet wipes. (Sunday, April 13, DUMBO: Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 5, 11am-6pm; WILLIAMSBURG: East River State Park, 90 Kent Ave at N. 7 St, 11am-6pm. Both will be there every Sunday until November, rain or shine.)
Monty Python’s Completely Brilliant Sticky Note Set. Just so you don’t forget to pick up parrot food or hit the cheese shop, this three-booklet set of Python-themed sticky pads should do just the trick. Our favorite is the pad with a finger pointed RIGHT at you — perhaps a little Monty Python pressure will make sure you stay on top of your tasks. (Monty Python’s Complete Brilliance Sticky Note Set, $8, Modcloth.com)
Raising Eyebrows: Your Personal Guide to Fabulous Brows. Creating the right eyebrow shape for your face is key, but it doesn’t have to be an expensive or salon constant ordeal. This book by Cameron Tuttle teaches you how to tidy up your brows via many different methods — some within a matter of just five minutes. ($12, Amazon.com)
Silicon Valley. We LOVE Mike Judge’s highly anticipated, comedic look inside the culture of computer programmers, which premiered last Sunday. And we weren’t the only ones — 2 million others viewers joined us, giving HBO its highest rating for a comedy since 2009’s Hung). The show is funny, whip smart and right on the mark. If you haven’t checked it out, definitely give it a watch this weekend. Besides, anything that makes us laugh on a Sunday night has to be a good thing. (Sunday, April 13, 10pm EST, HBO)
