Easy Tips to Ace Online Networking

Part 2 in our series on networking for Gen-X

This past year has reinvented work life. You log onto staff meetings and pants are optional. But as nice as the new dress code is, a lot is missing, particularly when it comes to networking. Fewer ideas are shared around the digital water cooler and it’s also less likely you’ll hear about new opportunities.

Networking is good for our careers, mental health and creativity. Making “loose connections” can lead to great jobs or even meeting the love of your life. But… how exactly are we supposed to network when we are at home all. the. time?

In her new book The Lost Art of Connecting: The Gather, Ask, Do Method for Building Meaningful Business Relationships, she explains how to turn those small conversations into big life changes. We asked her how we can get better at networking online. (Spoiler alert: She’s great at it.)
