Demetria Wambia (formerly Irwin) is an award-winning, New York-based writer and editor with 15 years of professional experience in print and digital platforms. Demetria has worked with numerous media outlets, nonprofit organizations, and institutions such as BET, VICE, the National Writers Union, and the Foundation for Child Development. She holds a bachelor's degree in English and a master’s degree in urban planning—both from the University of Michigan.
