What Is My Secret to Happiness? Coffee Beans, Delivered

The last year has taught me to find happiness where I can, and that includes coffee. My Trade Coffee subscription is a continuous drip of new tastes and artful packages from the nation’s best coffee roasters. Subscribers get access to 400+ coffees from 55+ roasters across the U.S. At sign-up, there is a survey to determine your taste profile, and then they suggest coffees (always with the opportunity to pick other coffees or to move coffees around in your queue). There’s no fee to subscribe, simply pay for each bag you buy.

Since subscribing, I’ve tried 12 different coffees. My favorites so far: The Bosley blend (or, as I call it, the “Mr. Cunningham blend”) from Brooklyn’s own City of Saints; the house blend from Salem’s Atomic Coffee Roasters, a coffee with beans so chocolate-y that I sniffed them like they were mimeographed paper; and the Palmera blend from Nashville’s Stay Golden, a roaster whose name references an ‘80s teen film and whose coffee pairs a chocolate-y flavor with hints of Smurfberry Crunch.

Given basic geography –– and being stuck at home –– discovering all of these coffees on my own would be difficult at best. Thanks to Trade, I receive tasty and beautiful coffee postcards from across the country every three weeks.
